Star yawned, her coils tensing as she she stretched. She cold easily fall back to sleep right now, and began to as she placed her hand on Angelus.
He wasn't there.
Her eyes popped open and she sat up, her hands automatically going to her stomach. There was no struggling, and she hadn't been asleep for more than half an hour. She let out a quick sigh of relief and then checked the bed. Still no sign of a small silver haired human. She leaned over the bed and looked on the nightstand.
"Angelus, where are you?" she asked out loud. Her head came up when she spotted Tish laying on the floor of her hut, looking as if she was about to throw up. Star moved closer, then noticed that Tish's lip rings were being pulled on from the inside.
"Oh heck no!" she growled angrily.

Star yawned, her eyes still heavy. Her meal from yesterday had digested, and she would be good for the whole of today. She tucked her hands under her head, ready to drift back to sleep because of the warm sunlight.
Then something moved on her scales.
Star bolted up into a sitting position, remembering Angelus a moment too late. He yelped as her movements seemed to wake him up and he slid down the mound of scales, landing on the ground with a soft thump. Star hesitated, a hand hovering close to him.
Wiht a groan he sat up, stretching away his sleepiness, "Well, that's a wake up call I'll never forget."
Star let out an involuntary sigh that he was okay, pulling her body behind her, "So, you didn't run away while
Ripples and Tides Ch 2"Roxas?"
His name was spoken gently, but desperately. Everything was hazy as Roxas slowly opened his eyes. Axel was looking down on him concerned. Roxas managed a smile. "I'm all right," he said, blinking a few times as he tried to orient himself. Where was he?
Slowly he sat up, and found himself lying in Axel's coils. Roxas looked around, blinking in the bright sun. They were by a river, sitting on flat boulder. There was a chocobo a short ways from them, who was tied to a nearby tree. Currently the bird was drinking from the river.
"We can't stay in one place too long, Roxas," Axel told him. "You'll have to be ready to ride soon. But when you started stirring, I thought we'd better take a break. Besides, Star needed a rest; he's not used to carrying so much weight and having to run that fast."
"You rode him?" asked Roxas, confused. Axel never rode chocobos; there was no point since he could slither almost as fast and keep pace with them easily.
"Can't leave tracks," Axel said. "I let

Angelus slipped down the tree, one branch at a time, keeping his eyes on the black armored knights. They didn't seem aware of his presence, instead just sitting there as if waiting for something to happen. Realizing it could be a trap, Angelus went to a lower branch directly above the troop of ten soldiers. He hung from his knees, making sure the chain retraction mechanism was working on the back of his belt. Looking down, he spotted the weak point behind the helmet

Angelus knelt down, examining the tracks presented before him. Heavy metal boot, presumably the ones that he had been tracking for the past three days. He stood up, checking that his twin chokuto were still in their respected scabbards before he continued on.
He was the last surviving Blade Master of his Village, everyone else else, even the women and children. Even his father. Although he was the youngest Blade master, a mere eighteen years old, circumstances had made it so that he had survived the attack of an army of black armored knights, who had come, killed, and left without a trace. He sighed, wiping his silver hair out of his eyes. The jungle was wreaking havoc on his health, and he couldn't go on much farther. Only the tracks he was following gave him hope.
That hope was quickly smashed as he reached the next clearing. Across the edge of the clearing there was a large scrape across the ground, the obvious trail of a Giant Naga. He shuddered briefly, b
